Steel Coating

It is a widely used method in engineering applications. Especially in Abrasive wear, protective coating and hard steel coating applications are made.

Steel metal spray coatings offer the following advantages;

• No low preheating or preheating required
• No heat treatment required after coating
• Little heat is transferred to the workpiece during coating,
• There is no risk of thermal shock in the coated material.
• All surfaces can be covered
• Hardness can be increased with the coating.
• The coated material can be processed again.
• There is no dilution of the coating with the substrate material
• Coating can be applied to a wider surface
• Operator skill requirements are lower
• Spray coating is generally faster
• Better control over deposit thickness
• Processing allowances are reduced, thus saving material
