General Information

It is widely used to provide corrosion protection to ferrous metals and, for example, to improve wear resistance or thermal conductivity, to change the surface properties of the product.

Corrosion and wear are a major challenge for a long industry list, so many of them use metal spray coating for industries.

Thermal spray protects and extends the life of materials, machinery, steel structures, equipment and ships in an environment where protective surface coatings are for long life. Many will not have to first care for the coating before 20 years of service, even in harsh environments, and will result in significant maintenance costs reduction.

There are four main methods of thermal spraying, all of which reflect small molten or softened particles on a surface to create and create a continuous coating. The temperature rise of the coated part is minimal, i.e. heat degradation is rare - hot dip offers a great advantage over galvanizing or welding.

Thermal spraying for corrosion control is usually done with Flame and Arc spray - its application is the least costly and fast, therefore it is suitable for corrosion protection of larger structures.
